Santa Clause

I am wondering if it is such a good idea to create this whole fantasy land with children about Santa Clause.  We are raised to beleive all these fantasies and as an adult I kick myself for believing in such idiosincracies.  Then again there is "The Secret" where the idea is to see it, feel it, taste it, love it, let it go, and it will come.
